So today I am doing a review on one of my favourite palettes, I’ve been using this palette a lot recently and I’m loving the looks I can create with it. I will give you all a forewarning though, if you are not a fan of matte eyeshadows then this is not the palette for you by any means. But for those of you that like to incorporate matte shadows into your looks or like to create looks using only matte shadows, then this is the palette for you!
So first off there are four different palettes in the Eyes are the window collection, not all of the shadows in the other palettes are matte, all the other palettes have a range of both matte and shimmery shadows, they also have a different range of colours, the other three palettes are called, Spirit, Soul and body. I will leave a link to the Stila website were you can check out the other palettes, if you are interested, so now on to the review…
To start off with the packaging, honestly I love it! I’m not the biggest fan of gold but with this palette it is incorporated so well with a mirrored effect and it makes the palette look so luxurious. The palette is square in shape and is seamless and is quite thin so perfect for travelling. It also has a mirror on the inside so it is perfect for doing your makeup on the go!
The shadows themselves are so creamy and blend really easily to give you a perfectly blended look! All the colours work so well together so it is easy to create so many looks with just using this palette alone! The shadows are very pigmented so a little goes a long way and they also have very little to no fallout which is something I find very important when it comes to more expensive shadows. This palette is perfect for people who like to do smokey eyes or natural eyes, sticking to the browns and oranges but of course there are a few colours in there that might be out of some peoples comfort zones but are perfect for experimenting with different looks, this palette can be used for day and night time looks, for dramatic and natural looks depending on what you are going for. 🙂
Overall I really like the palette and experimenting with it to create looks that are dramatic and looks that are perfect for the day time, there are so many different looks that you can create with this palette so it is perfect if you are like me and love creating new looks in your spare time. 🙂 The palette retails for €40 and I personally think that it is definitely worth the price!
So that’s it for todays review I hope you guys enjoyed the post! Let me know in the comments if you have this palette and what you think of it or if you have any of the other palettes from the collection.
Thank you for reading and see you in my next post!
