I recently seen that Pantone had announced this years colour of the year. Seeing as I created a post about it last year and it got a great response from you all, I thought I would create one this year with the same idea, of incorporating outfits with the colour that has been chosen for the year.
The colour that has been chosen for 2017 is Greenery. According to Pantone “Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.”
the colour is a lovely shade of green and I think it can not only be easily incorporated into fashion pieces but also into home decor and furniture. For this post I am focusing on fashion alone but if anyone would like me to do a post on how I would incorporate this colour around the house then please let me know in the comments.
So lets start with the outfits, if you seen my post last year you would have noticed that all the outfits I had put together were very formal so this year I decided that I would keep them more casual and show you guys how you can piece together outfits for day to day wear if you want.
The first outfit is from Missguided and is a gorgeous green ribbed bodysuit. Bodysuits were really in last year and I have a feeling they will be very popular again this year. Bodysuits can be paired very easily with most skirts, shorts and trousers but today I decided to go with the wardrobe essential of jeans and a leather jacket, which I think complement each other really well. You can find the outfit here.
The second outfit is a dress for those of you that want to dress up a bit more day to day. This shade of green is more on the olive green side and is such a lovely colour, especially for the Spring season coming around. The dress can be found here.
The third outfit I chose is a bit more formal and elegant but perfect for nights out and can be styled in so many ways with different textures and colours. I love the lace detailing on the skirt and how the inner lining is shorter than the lace in the skirt.
The next outfit is a simple one and one that can be worn during the day or night. Although the outfit is simple, it is also a great outfit for say to day with its pop of green in the skirt stopping the outfit from going unnoticed. With a pair of liaced up heels and a leather jacket it can be made into a dressy outfit ready for the night!
For the last outfit, I wanted to show that the piece doesn’t have to be 100% green but can also just have green incorporated into it so that it helps it pop with colour. This outfit came to my attention from Forever21 when I seen how complementing the colours were with each other and how thry added to brighten the outfit. The green helps to brighten and give off a very summery appeal.
So that’s it for today’s post! I hope you all enjoyed and got some inspiration, if you want to incorporate this years colour of the year into your outfits, during the day or night. Thank you for reading and I’ll see you all in my next post.
