W7 Loose Banana Powder Review

Hello Everyone,

I have been on the hunt for a loose powder for a whole now, it is surprising how many loose powders are out there that oxidize  so much once they are given a few minutes to set. Of course it is normal and expected that makeup will oxidize a little bit from the colour that you see in the bottle but I found that so many loose powders that I tried went so orange that I had to start my makeup all over again and throw the powder out as it was no good. The powder that I had the biggest issue with was the Catrice Loose powder, this powder oxidized so much that it looked like I had fact tan on the part of my face where I had applied the powder, so I would personally not recommend for any of you guys to even try that powder. But that’s enough talk about the bad loose powders, lets talk about the loose powder in question.

I purchased this loose powder just before Christmas as I was in the need of a powder that was going to keep me matte over all the nights out around the Christmas time and also day to day in work and what not. As I have oily skin, it can be quite hard to find a powder that keeps you matte for a long period of time. This powder does not keep me completely oil free for the 12 hours that I might be wearing my makeup but it does keep me for a very long period of time and when I do start to see the oil appearing on my face is seems to just appear on my forehead which isn’t a big issue as the rest of my face always looks completely matte and the rest of my face will stay that way for the rest of the time that I am wearing my makeup.

As this is a banana powder it is a yellow based powder, this does mean that it is perfect for highlighting under the eyes and below your contour to make it stand out even more. The only down side I have with the yellowness of the powder, as I am so pale the powder when being used for baking comes out yellow and looks a little bit darker than my natural skin tone, if your skin is darker you most likely won’t have this issue but as I do, I can’t use this powder to bake. That is Tue one and only down side I have to this powder.

Overall I really like this powder and would recommend it to anyone who is on the look out for a highlighting powder that will keep them matte all day long. I hope you all enjoyed this post, let me know what your favourite powder is in the comments. See you all in my next post.

Thank you for reading,
