Makeup is something that I enjoy playing around with and although I like to try out new things, of course there are products that I wear and go to whenever I am wearing makeup. Like most people I don’t wear makeup everyday but when I these are the products I reach for most.
Of course moisturizer and primer come first, those two have not changed for the last few months, I have been using the same moisturizer for the last year or so as it’s the only one that doesn’t break me out so I won’t be changing it anytime soon, it is the Garnier Moisture Match for combination skin and the primer is a setting spray by Rimmel London which I have been using for the last few months and a review is coming for that soon.
The first makeup product I apply is concealer and my go to concealer for the last while is the Rimmel London wake me up concealer and I apply this before my foundation so that I can use less product for my foundation and just use a light layer. Like most people I use more than one concealer to cover up the unwanted spots and dark circles. So after I apply my foundation I go in with another concealer, the SoSu Complete contour palette and it is shade 3, this concealers purpose is to highlight the face and cover up any darkness that is still under the eyes after the Wake Me Up concealer. I posted a review of this palette a while ago which I will link here if you want to have a look. I also use shade 6 in this palette, which is the shade at the bottom left to bronze and contour my face once my base has been applied.
The next product is foundaton, although I do have days were I wear makeup and don’t wear foundation I thought I would include it in this post as it is something I wear quite often. I have been using this foundation for around 2 years now and haven’t steered away from it as I just find it so good. I didn’t have great expectations for the foundation at first as I am not a bit fan of L’Oreals foundations but the Infallible Matte Foundation took me by surprise and turned out to be my go to for day and night. But I won’t say too much about it as I have dedicated a whole post to it which I will link here for anyone who is interested in hearing more about it!
So powder is a must for someone like me who has oily skin! I have recently found a new powder that not only lightens and highlights points on my face but it also keeps me matte all day long, which is basically the best of both worlds when it comes to powder. 😛 I have also written a review on this powder so again if you want to have a look and see what thoughts I had you can just click the link here.
So the last two face products are blush and highlight. I have been using the dame blush for years which is the coralista blush by Benefit and I am still loving it! I have hit pan very badly on it so I will have to repurchase it soon, so let me know in the comments if there are any blushes you would recommend for pale skin. 🙂 The highlight that I use varies from the Balm Mary Loumaniser or the revolution highlighter palette but more often than not it is the highlighter palette that comes out on top. 🙂
Brows are a must of course and I will be doing an updated brow routine for you all soon but for now the product that I use on my brows is the Cailyn Brow Gel in the shade Cocoa. This is a life saver for my brows and is so good, you have to try it if you haven’t already!
So the last products left are for the eyes, so I wrote a review recently all about my favourite mascaras that I use all the time so I will just link that here for you all to check out if you want. As for eyeshadow, I am still using the Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette in Mind. This is my go to palette as it has the perfect colours for the transition and lid shades so I tend to stick to this palette and not mix with a different one. I have a dedicated post reviewing the palette so I will leave a link to that here for you all. 🙂
So that is it for todays post, I hope you all enjoyed it and let me know in the comments what some of your favourite everyday products are and if there are any products you guys think I should try out. See you in my next post.
