Primark Havana Palette Review

Hello Everyone,

Today’s post is reviewing the new PS Havana palette by Penneys/Primark. I haven’t seen a lot on the internet or on blogs about this palette so I thought I would put a review up for you all, if any of you are interested in trying it.

I was never really one to try Penney’s makeup but when I spotted this palette and swatched it I was really surprised by the pigmentation so I had to take one home and try it. The packaging is really different compared to a lot of their other products and I think that’s what really caught my eye about it. It is sturdy and compact so it would be very easy to travel with it. It doesn’t have a mirror which might bother some people but it’s not something that would bother me. Overall I love the packaging and how bright and summery it is. It really really grabs attention.

As for what is in the palette, there are 4 shadows, a highlighter, bronzing highlight, blush and bronzer.

The highlight is the top left shadow, it is a warm gold highlighter that is so smooth, its not chalky or thick and it blends in so well into the skin while still giving off amazing pigment.

The bronzing highlight is the top left shade and honestly I thought that I would not even touch this shadow at all as I am so pale that some highlighters are too dark for me so I thought this was a definite no go but it wasn’t. I love using this over the blush to help blend in the bronzer and highlight even more and it helps give such a lovely rose glow, it is so pigmented so you really only need a small bit but it is a lovely shade and really surprised me.

The blush shade is the bottom left, it is a lovely rose pink colour, the only bad thing I have to say about this shadow is that it is a little chalky but once you use a small amount it doesn’t have much fallout and is super pigmented on the skin. The only time I noticed the chalkiness was when I put a lot on the brush as I didn’t realise how little I needed to get a good pigment. So overall the blush is really good just be careful with how much you apply.

And finally the bronzer is the bottom right shade in the palette. This is AMAZING! Honestly. It is a warm toned brown but is in no way orange and it doesn’t have an orange undertone to it. This has to be one of the best bronzers I’ve tried in a long time. You need the smallest amount, and when I mean smallest amount I really mean it haha. It is so pigmented but still is really easy to blend out on the skin to give a natural look. It is perfect for bronzing but I also use it for contouring and it works great.

So to come to a conclusion, I would definitely recommend picking up this palette and give it a go. It retails for only €6 so can you really say no to that? Let me know in the comments if you have tried it and what your thoughts are, also if you have liked any other Ps makeup by Penney’s/Primark let me know in the comments, I would love to try some more out. Hope you liked this post and I will see you in my next post.
