Can you believe it’s June already? It’s mad how fast this year is going! So seeing as it is Summer and hopefully here in Ireland we will get a few more hot sunny days before the wintery weather comes back, I thought it would be the perfect time to talk about sunscreens and protecting our skin! It’s something that a lot of people take for granted and don’t tend to think it is important to do. So today’s Thursday Topic is all about Sunscreen!
It’s so important to pick a good sunscreen that really protects your skin not only that but it is so important to apply your sunscreen well so that your skin is completely protected. A lot of people that wear sunscreen tend to slap it on without really thinking about applying it so all of their skin is being protected. I was reading an article on reviews.com that was all about sunscreens and how important it is to apply it. I am going to be totally honest and say that I am guilty of not applying it properly and being perplexed when I get burnt in little patches thinking that I applied it there. It’s so crucial to reapply throughout the day if you stay in the sun, especially when you come out of the water but even being in the sun its important to reapply every 2-3 hours.
So lets get on to some of the best sunscreens that you can buy that really protect you. On reviews.com they did a test on sunscreens and came up with 4 best sunscreens for different skin types and needs.
Best for Face
This sunscreen is so lightweight and absorbs super quick leaving no white residue behind which is definitely important when picking out a sunscreen for your face. The sunscreen is oil free and packed with antioxidants such as green tea and vitamin C, so healthy for your skin to absorb.
Best for Sensitive Skin
This sunscreen was picked best for sensitive skin. I know lavender is a love or hate scent but the cream only has a light scent of lavender so it can be easily looked passed. it includes 6 natural ingredients perfect for people with sensitive skin that reacts to chemicals.
Best for Physical Activity
Finding a sunscreen that is fit for sport purposes can be tough but the Badger Sport sunscreen was found the best as its coverage lasts up to 80 minutes of sweating or with sports involving water. The downside to this is it takes longer to absorb than the ones mentioned above and also leave a subtle white tint but that can be over looked as it does its job in the long run during your activities.
So thats’s it for todays post! I hope you found it helpful for the Summer season that is ahead of us. Also don’t forget about the 15% discount code that is currently going for ownsaviour.com by using LAURENS15 at the checkout! See you in my next post.
