Making Removing Makeup Easy

Hello Everyone,

Today’s post is all about my favourite way to remove my makeup, although the micellar water is not the only thing I use to remove my makeup, I wanted to give it a post of its own as it is my favourite thing to use to remove my makeup.

My skin is very sensitive and I have also had trouble with acne in the past so when I found the Garnier Micellar water, I had to try it out. I’ve been using this for over a year and have repurchased it a few times and it never disappoints.

The way I like to use it when removing my makeup is by placing a few drops on top if whatever makeup removing wipes I am using at the time, this helps make the wipe even more moisturised so that it takes virtually no effort to get all of your makeup off.
I’m someone who doesn’t like to be rubbing at my skin to try and get the makeup off so when I found that with one swipe of the wipe my makeup would be off, I was so happy.

Garnier are one of the only skincare brands that don’t break me out so if you are having an issue with your skin breaking out or being over sensitive to products then definitely give their range a try.

I would definitely recommend the Garnier Micellar water, they di have a few different types, including one for eye makeup remover but I haven’t tried any if the other ones other than the original one for sensitive skin. They usually retail for €8 but can usually be found on sale for€4/€5 in Penney’s.
So that’s it for today’s post, sorry that it was super quick, I’ve been really busy lately but still wanted go get a post up for you all. I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on the Garnier Micellar water range is? See you in my next post.

Thank you for reading,

Lauren,

X.

I have always been a makeup wipe kind of girl but EVERYONE has been telling me to try the Micellar water…so when I run out of my wipes, I will finally be purchasing this so that I can give it a try! πŸ™‚

Great idea on putting micellar water on makeup wipes!! My skin is sensitive too and sometimes gets irritated with how much I wipe when my makeup is heavy. I’ll definitely put micellar water next time I take of my makeup!!

Random question. I’m looking for a really great drugstore liquid eyeliner. Preferably one that can be found at Walmart. Do you have any suggestions?

        • June 29, 2017 / 9:42 am

The Essence waterproof liquid eyeliner pen is one of my favourites, its super easy to use and lasts all day, I’ve also heard that the Milani infinite liquid eyeliner is very similar, I don’t know if they can be found in Walmart as I’m not from America but I hope that helpedπŸ˜ŠπŸ’™

I’m a big fan of micellar water for eye makeup removal. Did you see Marissa Carters little experiment though? The level of acidity is a bit worrying!

    • June 28, 2017 / 10:49 pm

Oh no I didn’t see anything about that, that does seem a bit worrying alright!

    • June 29, 2017 / 9:43 am

It makes such a difference, I always do it now for a quick makeup remover😊

Love your post! I usually do the same thing.. I always applied few drops of mine micellar water to my Neutogena makeup remover wipes. It removes my makeup much better. πŸ™‚

I also use micellar water to remove makeup. I must try it with a makeup wipe thought as I usually use it with a cotton pad. X

Ive heard such great things about this product but haven’t got around to using it. I’ve purchased it, just waiting for my current make up remover to run out, seems to be taking forever πŸ˜„ x

    • July 27, 2017 / 2:18 pm

haha yeah they do take a long time to run out but I guess thats a really good thing as well πŸ˜› you’ll love it when you use it! πŸ™‚ x

Such a good idea πŸ™‚ I like the face wash versions better than these because I am too lazy to get cotton pads πŸ˜‚

    • July 28, 2017 / 10:09 pm

I’ve never tried that but I’ve heard great things😊

Have you used Bioderma Sensibio H2O? Trying to find something similar that isn’t as expensive and wondering if this is a good dupe.

    • August 2, 2017 / 7:14 am

I’ve never used the Bioderma personally but I do know that they are pretty much the same thing so hopefully you’d like the Garnier one just as much😊

  15. August 2, 2017 / 11:02 am

I love this stuff! There’s even a one for waterproof makeup

    • August 2, 2017 / 11:30 am

Yeah its amazing! Definitely worth buying to remove makeup πŸ™‚

  16. August 7, 2017 / 11:26 pm

I love this product! I have tried all the spectrum of makeup removers from expensive to “omg that was so cheap I’m pretty sure I just applied nail polish remover to my eyeballs” and Garnier totally nailed it with this one. Bonus- it’s dirt cheap! It isn’t too oily and best of all, it doesn’t mess with my extremely sensitive skin.

    • August 7, 2017 / 11:35 pm

Yeah I completely agree, its so good!

  17. August 8, 2017 / 11:37 pm

Micellar water causes me to break out so bad! But this makes me want to try it again, only used it once so don’t think I have it a fair chance!

    • August 10, 2017 / 9:16 am

Oh no really? Definitely give it another go, I dont use that much of it on the makeup wipe so hopefully it wont break you out πŸ™‚

  18. August 10, 2017 / 10:56 am

Great post. Im definitely gonna try this! Thanks for sharing

  19. August 14, 2017 / 11:46 pm

Great post! My favorite makeup removing products are the Garnier Micellar water and Neutrogena face wipes.

    • August 15, 2017 / 9:38 am

Thank you, I’ve never tried them before πŸ™‚

  20. August 20, 2017 / 7:12 pm

I also use that exact same micellar water and it is brilliant 😊

  21. August 21, 2017 / 12:56 am

A favourite of mine and kind to the skin. I have used it for a while now and i have to say its one of the best ways to remove makeup, dirt and oils. I love it! πŸ’—
