I have seen this mask a lot on social media with tons of mixed reviews so I decided I would try it out and see if I thought it was worth all the hype. I purchased this face mask a couple of weeks ago from Penneys/Primark for €8, it is usually on sale in pharmacies for €11 or more so definitely check out your nearest Penneys/Primark before picking it up anywhere else! All in all with the price, I was very happy with it as I have seen face masks being sold for a lot more than €8 or€11!
As for the packaging of the product. I actually really like it! I like the clear glass so that you can see the product inside and I love the mint green lid and white that is on the packaging. I think all colours go well and compliment each other well, I feel like it gives off a clean and calm feel but maybe that’s just me 😛
I have used this mask a good few times in the last few weeks, usually 2/3 times a week, which I think is a good amount to be able to review it for you guys. When applying the mask, I use an E.L.F. angled foundation brush as I find it applies it really evenly without it being streaky. I apply it on my forehead, nose and cheeks and also my chin. As the mask starts to dry it will begin to turn to a lighter grey and will start to harden. I leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes, pretty much until it is completely hard. I then take a wet face cloth and take the mask off with cold or hot water.
Once the face mask is off, I find that the mask leaves my face feeling very smooth, my face looks brighter and a lot cleaner. I didn’t notice this immediately with the mask but over time, after a few uses. I noticed that my skin looked a lot brighter and awake when I wasn’t wearing makeup. It’s not a difference that is that noticeable to others but I did feel a bit of a difference myself. Overall I like the mask, I don’t think it is the best one out there and if you are looking for a mask to get rid of blackheads, I don’t think this is the one for you, but if you are looking to brighten your face and make it look more clean and awake, then I would suggest you give it a try and see how it works.
So that’s it for todays post! Let me know in the comments what your favourite face mask is and also let me know if you have ever tried this mask and what your thoughts are on it! See you in my next post.
