Whats in my travel makeup bag?

Hello Everyone,

It’s been a while since I updated you all on some of the makeup that I love to use, so today I thought I would share with you all what I like to take with me when I am travelling. I tend to wear a lot less makeup when I travel, most of the time I wear the bare minimum but I like to take a bit more with me for the night time. I have traveled a bit around Ireland this summer so I thought I would share what I brought with me whenever I was away.

The makeup bag that I like to take with me as its nice and spacious, is this makeup bag from Penneys, I think it was around โ‚ฌ4 so very inexpensive for something that comes in so handy when traveling. ย I have had this bag for a few years now so its not looking as good as it did when I first bought it but I still like it and it does the job just fine.

The first makeup items are my moisturiser and setting spray. If you’ve been following me for a while you will know that I really like both of these products and have been using them whenever I do my makeup for quite some time.

I tend to only wear concealer when I do away but I do bring a foundation with me in case I want to wear it or for the night time when I want to wear a bit more makeup. The combination that I have been loving recently is the Catrice Matte 18 Hr Wear foundation and the Liquid Camouflage Concealer. I love both of these products and would definitely recommend them both!

I’m not the biggest fan of cream contour or highlight, so the next few products are all powder and my go to products for both day and nighttime looks. The first product is my favourite highlighter. Since I have purchased this highlighter I don’t think I have used another one, I adore it so much! The Balm Mary-Lou Highlighter is one I would recommend to anyone, especially if you have a pale complexion like myself. My go to blush is the Coralista blush by Benefit, it is a lovely subtle coral shade that blends in so well to create a natural blush to the face! And of course bronzer. The Hoola bronzer will always be my go to I think but I have been using the bronzer from the SoSueMe palette as I find them very similar but when I am traveling, it is much easier to pack the Hoola bronzerwp-image--686433992

So now on to the eyes. I haven’t switched up a lot of the eyeshadows or mascaras that I travel with in a while. The eyeshadow palette that is my favourite to wear is the Stila Window to the Mind palette. This palette is amazing for everyday and night time looks! It is my go to and one I think I will definitely repurchase when I run out. As for mascara, I am still trying to find a combination that I love but for now I’ve been using the Catrice Doll Face lashes, Rimmel London Colourist mascara and the Rimmel London Wake Me Up mascara. They all work well together but they don’t quite give me the desired look.

Brows are a big part of my makeup as I think it makes such a difference, so my favourite product to use is the Cailyn brow pomade in Cocoa. It’s amazing! I can’t recommend it enough, its very similar to the ABH pomade.

To set the face, at the minute I am using the banana powder from W7. I’m using this as there is so much product in it that I want to start using it up before I start buying more. It is really good for nights out as it stops flashback and looks light on the skin.

So that’s it for todays post, I hope you all liked it. Let me know in the comments what your favourite products are to travel with and your thoughts of the products I have mentioned above. See you in my next post!

Thank you for reading,

Lauren,

x.

    1. I have two that I really like at the minute and both are from Catrice cosmetics, one is the matte all day foundation and the other is HD liquid coverage, which is semi matte, I really like both of these and they are really inexpensive! ๐Ÿ™‚ hope this helped ๐Ÿ™‚
