Quick Back to School Hairstyles

Hello Everyone,

So it’s that time of year again where we all start going back to school or college. Whenever I go back to college I am always looking for quick and easy hairstyles that I can do within 5-10 minutes before I head out the door.

My go to for a lot of days in college are braids. Braids are super easy to do when you get the hang of them and if you have long hair they are the best hairstyle to do to keep hair out of your face but that also isn’t too tight on your hair. My favourite to do is the french/ dutch braids, these style braids are similar one is just done in the opposite rotation to the other if that makes sense. A dutch braid is pretty much like a reverse french braid.

If I still feel like having my hair down but incorporating a braid, I will only braid the tops of my hair and leave the rest down. I love the look of this and have had so many complements from people in college about it! I couldn’t find a picture that was the exact style that I was talking about as they all had buns instead of pigtails but I think you can still get the gist of what I was trying to explain.

If I am not in the mood to do a braid of any sort my next go to hairstyle is either a simple bun or pony tail. Having long hair it is really easy to make them look messy really quickly, so they are definitely a handy one to do for days when you don’t have the energy to be effort into doing your hair everyday!

For days when I want my hair down, I tend to leave my hair in tight plaits over night so that when I take them out in the morning, they look lovely and wavy. my hair is naturally wavy which always helps but I find this hairstyle works well with most hair types!

So that’s it for todays post! I hope you all liked it, let me know in the comments what your favourite quick hairstyles are. See you in my next post!

Thank you for reading,

Lauren,

All of these styles are absolutely gorgeous! I need to start practicing how to do more with my hair. Unfortunately I am not very skilled in that department and I quickly become really frustrated and give up! lol.

If that happens to me I just straighten the tops and I’m usually good to go πŸ™‚

I usually rock the bun, but it never looks quite as elegant the picture. Love the dutch braid, have to give that a try!

Ohh how you conjure the nostalgia for longer hair with these images, sigh… the easiest school hairstyles are definitely for those with a long mane! Us shorter-haired gals have a harder time haha!

    • November 21, 2017 / 10:23 am

Yeah definitely, theres still a lot that you can do with shorter hair but it is a bit more limited πŸ™‚
