Hello October

Hello Everyone,

So it’s a new month which means it’s time to reflect on the previous month and set some goals for the coming month. I had a few goals last month and to be honest with you, I didn’t really take time to focus on achieving them. I feel like the month of September was a mess, I don’t really know where it went or what I did during the month but I don’t think it was a bad month overall.

Outside research

What I meant by this last month, was doing some of my own research on some of the things I could do after college is done.Where did I see myself and what did I want to with my four years college experience, and you will be glad to know, I think I’ve figured it out! I have decided that I want to be a web designer. I’ve had it in the back of my mind for a while, if you have been following me for a while I might have mentioned it here or their but I have decided for certain! I have researched a lot about what I wanted to do as I really wanted to figure it out by the end of the year. Being in your last year of college, it is daunting if you don’t know what to do when you graduate. It’s an honest panic to figure it out haha

Last month I mentioned starting a baking series which a lot of you where excited about and it is coming very soon, I have all the ideas set out for everything that I will be baking each week, I just have to get the baking done but they are coming very soon, so be on the look out for those! I have decided they will be posted once every two weeks on a Saturday as that’s probably the time people will have time to read and try the recipes out!

I mentioned social media last month and how I didn’t have any goals of numbers but that I just wanted to keep them updated regularly and hopefully reach 1,000 followers on Instagram. I am currently 97 away from 1,000 so I am nearly there! If you want to be amazing and help me reach my goal, I will leave a link to my Instagram here!

Saving! That was a big goal of mine last month and I’m glad to say that I stuck to it and have been saving a lot of my paychecks recently! I’ve still been treating myself to bits here and there but overall I have done very well saving I think. I don’t think a car is on the horizon any time soon but maybe at the start of next year.

My last goal, last month was to focus a bit more on myself and learning how to destress myself in certain situations. That didn’t go to plan at all. If anything I feel like I’ve had less time to focus on myself in September than any other month but hopefully that will change for October.

So that’s it for this months reflection post. I think I will stick to my goals from last month and see if I can reach even more of them. There’s none that I can think of off hand that I would like to achieve in the next month so hopefully I will achieve the ones set above, I hope you all liked this post, let me know in the comments what some of your goals are this month! See you in my next post.

Thank you for reading,

Lauren,

x.

  1. Hehehe! When I was in my last year of college I wanted to be a veterinary doctor, I wanted to be a lot of things in that year, but I remain at my first love, architecture and design. Web design it’s a beautiful job and you will have some good money. I have a good friend who works at this and yhea, he likes it very much.

  2. oh! a web designer, so exciting! Just a thought, don’t put too much pressure on yourself about figuring out what to do with your life when exiting out of college. I actually fell into depression because of this. I freaked out thinking I needed to know what I had to do with my whole life, and I wasn’t entirely sure. Best of luck!
