Anti Haul

Hello Everyone,

I have been really liking seeing anti hauls recently, so I thought I would do another one, as I did one a month or two ago which I will leave here if you want to see what I included in it.

I feel like it wouldn’t be an anti haul if there wasn’t at least one product from the kardashians included, so I thought I would start off with them just to quickly say that i won’t be picking up the new KKW contour palette. Like in my last anti post where I included the first products Kim came out with,  I’m personally just not interested in getting anything from her collection. Nothing really stands out to me as being top quality, especially for the price of the products she currently has in her collection.

So I’m not the biggest fan of Jefferee Star and I don’t think I ever will be. He’s just not my cup of tea and the amount of arguments he seems to get in with other people really puts me off even watching his videos but in saying that, he does seem to have a makeup line that a lot of people love, I’ve never tried anything from it but I’ve heard a lot of good things about them. This lip gloss however is not up my street at all. I’m not the biggest fan of lip glosses but some I can bare with but this one looks way too pink and glossy, I’m not a fan of that wet lips look but if you are this would be perfect for you!

This one might be a bit controversial. There is not much that I wouldn’t like to purchase from the Fenty Beauty line and I included the foundation in my makeup wishlist which you can read all about here. Probably the only thing from the line that I don’t even want to try is the Killawatt highlighter in Trophy Wife. Don’t get me wrong, it looks amazing and I haven’t heard a bad thing about it but as I’m so pale, it really wouldn’t work well with my skin tone. I have used highlighters this gold in the past but they never blend in well with my skin so for that reason. it would really just be a waste of my money, as sad as that is to say…

I’ve heard a lot about this Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette, both good and bad. And although it looks super pretty and some of the shades would be something I would usually be interested in but there is something about this palette that doesn’t strike me or make me want to go and buy it so I think its one I will skip and see what she comes out with next.

I’m all for a good glow and a popping highlight but I feel with so many highlighters on the market, there has to be something about the highlighter that draws me in. It’s usually the packaging as a lot of them tend to have really striking packaging and I think that’s what lets Ofra’s highlighters down. The packaging just isn’t up to scratch for the €30 that you have to spend on them, that’s really the main reason why I’ll be skipping picking these up.

I’m usually a big fan of Kat Von D’s makeup, it’s always great quality and different than a lot of others in the market. Her packaging is usually amazing but I find this one a little different. Its unusual like a lot of her packaging but it doesn’t draw me in at all. She wanted it to resemble a stain glass window in a church as the colours in the palette are supposed to represent that too. But there is just something a bit too gothic about this palette for my liking and I’m also not the biggest fan of the colour selections in the palette. So overall theres nothing I really like about this palette to make me want to buy it.

So that’s it for todays post! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as my last anti haul. Let me know in the comments, what your thoughts are on these products and what products you won’t bee buying too. See you in my next post.

Thank you for reading,

Jeffree Star’s products are actually amazing! I love his velour liquid lipsticks! And yeah i am not tempted to by Fenty Beauty’s highlighter, it’s just too gold 😛

    • October 9, 2017 / 10:23 am

Yeah I’ve heard his products are good, its just him as a person that I don’t really like, which stops me from wanting to try his products 🙂

Most people say Hudas are great but I have never tried one for myself haha

    • October 9, 2017 / 10:24 am

Yeah, I’ve never tried them either, I’d be interested in trying some of her other products tho 🙂

All of these products would be on my antihaul list as well! I’m not too impressed with any them, and not willing to spend the big coins on them :/

    • October 9, 2017 / 10:26 am

      Yeah that’s exactly how I feel! 🙂

  5. October 7, 2017 / 6:28 pm

I’m so with you on the Jeffery Star situation.
I think the Huda palette is pretty but there’s no way I’d spend that much on a palette that I’d have to use my fingers with a lot of the colours!

    • October 9, 2017 / 10:28 am

Yeah that’s how I feel, it is really pretty but its not worth that much haha

  6. October 8, 2017 / 12:06 am

I totally get these. I am tempted by the Fenty contour sticks but I’m not drawn in by the gold highlight. I’m too pale for that! Great post xxx

    • October 9, 2017 / 10:29 am

Yeah I’m the same, I wouldn’t use it for anything else either as I think its too gold for an eyeshadow and theres no point spending that much money on it if you’d only be using it in the inner corner haha

  7. October 8, 2017 / 6:53 am

At the moment there really has to be something very special about a product to draw me in, so I can definitely agree that these are not worth the money. I am sure that some people would suit that bright pink lipgloss but on me it would look way too overwhelming! x

This is a great anti haul, I completely agree with these choices. I refuse to buy huda on account they are so expensive. Also fenty seems to be so over hyped and that highlighter is way too gold for me

    • October 9, 2017 / 10:30 am

Oh do! I’d love to see what you put in it 🙂

  9. October 8, 2017 / 9:59 pm

I really like the idea of this post, and I must say, I pretty much agree with you on the products. The only one I wanted to try is the Fenty Beauty highlighter in Trophy Wife as I swatched it when buying the foundation and it was lovely!! I couldn’t afford it at the time so I brought MUAs highlighter in Iridescent Gold and I’m in love with it I don’t think I’ll need Trophy Wife!! x

    • October 9, 2017 / 10:31 am

Yeah it looks so pretty on some people! Just not for my skin tone haha

  10. October 9, 2017 / 6:31 am

I’m very pale too, so that gold highlighter wouldn’t work for me either. You could probably use it for a shimmery eyeshadow though. I have a gold eyeshadow I was wearing over the summer and I got compliments on it.

    • October 9, 2017 / 10:34 am

Yeah thats how I feel too! Yeah I’ve seen people do that but it wouldn’t be my type of thing, I think it would look great on the inner corner but I wouldn’t spend that much money on it just to use it for that 😉

  11. October 9, 2017 / 6:40 am

I totally agree with you on the KKW range, it looks so over priced, the packaging isn’t great, the products are nothing special….x

  12. October 9, 2017 / 9:07 pm

Ou I’ve never heard of an anti-haul! That was a fun read and I completely agree with everything you said!

  13. October 10, 2017 / 12:03 am

I can’t wait for the Fenty eyeshadow palatte watched desi Perkins review yesterday! I can’t waaaiiitttttt for it. Although I am brown skin and think that trophy wife highlight is wayyy to flashy.

    • October 10, 2017 / 9:20 am

Yeah I seen that and it looked so nice! 🙂

I got to agree with you with all of the products. For the huda eyeshadow palette, it’s beautiful but there is something about that is missing…I couldn’t tell you what it was but it just doesn’t seem worth the money. I’m also pale and I just can’t see the Fenty Beauty gold highlighter working on my skin either; also, I’m just not a fan the metallic sheen it seems to have on the skin. Good anti-haul!

    • October 11, 2017 / 12:06 pm

Yeah I completely agree! Thank you 🙂

  16. October 11, 2017 / 7:56 pm

I agree with the Fenty by Rhianna. When it came out it just didn’t wow me lol unlike the Too Faced Peaches and Cream collection that I cant seem to get enough of lol.

    • October 12, 2017 / 2:06 pm

Yeah I’ve heard a lot of good things about the too faced collection 🙂

  17. October 13, 2017 / 11:37 pm

KKW Beauty doesn’t impress me in the slightest. You can definitely find better and most importantly cheaper versions in drugstore. Way overpriced. I honestly don’t get the hype around it.
I like the look of Huda’s pallete, but I’m on the fence about it.
I actually love Rihanna’s highlighter but I’m pale too, so the only way I could wear it it’s on the eyes, which I probably won’t do a lot, so it’s not something I want to spend money on. But her holiday collection is killing me!
    By the way, great post!

Omg yes that Nikki Tutorial x Ofra collab was a little over priced for the quality of the packaging. That clear cover with no mirror looked more Wet n Wild. I love Nikki, so I’m not sure if that was Ofra decision.

    • October 23, 2017 / 10:03 am

Oh really haha, its funny how people like different things

  19. November 24, 2017 / 6:22 am

I really wanted the Fenty highlighter at first, but then I realised the only reason why is because it’s Fenty, I wouldn’t be able to ever wear that colour! And I have WAYYY too many highlighters.
I have one Jeffree lipstick and it’s alright, I don’t think, I will be buying it again though, since I don’t really like him as a person.

    • November 24, 2017 / 11:00 am

Yeah I’m not a fan of him as a person so I pretty much steer clear of his makeup 😛
