I was looking back on my posts recently and noticed that a lot of you guys seemed to like the last health post I wrote back in July of this year. I’m not going to lie to you guys and say that I stuck to that plan because I didn’t, far from it actually. I had a lot of things come up in life and I got busy, far from an excuse but my mind was taken off the ball for a while. That’s why I wanted to make this post, I always find that posting health posts always help to keep me on track so here’s another one as I plan on starting a fresh and I hope some of you can too! If you would like to check out the last health post that I posted I will leave that linked here as there are lots of tips in that one too that you might find handy!
Setting small Reachable Targets
No matter what you may be doing with your health, staying on track with a plan can be hard no matter how determined you may feel. I was never one for setting goals, I always just had an end goal of how I wanted to look or feel, but I’m realising now that small goals are a much better idea. Not only because you will reach them quicker which will keep you motivated to keep going! Set a goal for one month, three months, six months, nine months and then a year. That way you will find it easier to stay on plan but also to keep track of how you are doing. Definitely something to think about.
Drink More Water
I had this tip in my last post but I’m going to include it in this one too as it’s one of the most important things to do when starting a healthy lifestyle. If you want to make small changes, drinking more water and less fizzy drinks and alcohol is your way to go! I wrote a post solely on the benefits of drinking water a while ago so I will leave that linked here. I know you all here about it all the time but it’s honestly so beneficial!
Exercise is important of course! But as you may have heard its only 20-30% of your healthy lifestyle. Finding an exercise that you like or can bare is half the battle, I found that going to the gym is something that I love but can end up costing a lot so finding fitness accounts on Youtube can be just as good and work from home. My favourite account to use on Youtube is Fitness Blender, they are honestly amazing and have the best workout no matter what area you want to focus on or how much time you have, they will have a workout for you.
Only buy what you need for your meals in the food shop, the only way you will eat rubbish food is if you have it in your house, so one of the first things to do would be to make sure that all of your cheat meals/treats are out of the house when starting, that way whenever you do feel hungry you will begin to gravitate towards the healthier options. It’s all about getting yourself out of bad habits, after that you will find it a lot easier.
So they are all the tips that I have for the minute, of course if I have more I will do another post but for now I hope you liked this one and let me know if you have any other tips in the comments. See you in my next post.
